The Summer Raffle Drawing was held last Saturday at the Yacht Club Bar in Presque Isle. The raffle exceeded our expectations by a considerable amount. In the end we sold 2,029 tickets out of 2,500 printed. After prizes we cleared in excess of $6,000. A very special thanks to Marshall and Charlie who sold a lot of tickets and Mike Brandt who ran around and kept tickets stocked.

On Sunday June 2nd the SnoBunnies operated the Concession Stand at Manitowish Waters weekly Music in the Park event. It was the first time we have done this and it went about as smoothly as possible. We sold all our food before the intermission and sold 92 Summer Raffle tickets as well. We grossed over $1,000 with a net close to $800. Beside the financial aspect, it was one of the more fun events to work, definitely worth our time and we will ask to be included in next year’s schedule.

Once again, SnoBunnies members and non-members, local businesses and organizations rose to the challenge and our cash raffle raised the funds needed to keep the organization on solid ground. In the end we sold 1,274 tickets compared to last year’s 1,326, but this year we did receive over $1,350 in donations from people who chose not to participate in the raffle. Everybody had a hand in making this a success.
Thanks to everybody involved.

Unbelievable might be a good word for our event Saturday. The Pub was packed virtually the entire time between maybe 11:30 and the drawing with only a slight lull after the Badger Basketball game ended. The SnoBunnies like to thank the 50 businesses, members and others who donated the quality prizes despite the terrible financial years they are having, The many volunteers that help gather the prize and work the event. The many locals who have been so instrumental in supporting the club and filling the gaps left by low visitation this year. Our fellow snowmobile clubs that found time to support each other’s events that day, and finally our members, many who came from out of town to help support the club. Other than a financial success I think the event was really fun. The event raised $5,539 for the club compared to $2,370 last year, by my estimation 116% of the value of the prizes donated, so quite a success.
Thanks to all the members and volunteers who contributed their valuable time to the Meat and 50/50 raffles that took place during last week’s Super Bowl. Also thanks to the PI Pub for hosting the event again this year and providing a fabulous free buffet to the people in attendance. A good time was had by all. The six rounds of meat raffles raised
$1,155 and the club’s portion of the 50/50 raffle was $415 for a total of $1,570. Pictures of the event will be on facebook and the SnoBunnies Website.
